2021 VOTE looping kinetic typography voting reminder. Created for Instagram, later utilized on SLC’s Gateway video tower.
2019 PRIDE collaboration with the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake City, UT. A few months prior to this a series of hate-crimes took place against LGBTQIA+ individuals, and businesses in SLC by visitors from out of town– which was not representative of the progressive and queer-friendly community that lives here. I created this as a beacon of progress and compassion for the month-long celebration of pride that takes place here every year.
Design inspired by the Art-Deco architecture of the Chrysler building.

Select animations from occasional #motionsketch series I’ve been doing since January 2019. The intent of this series is to explore areas of motion design that I find interesting and to learn new skills and methods within AE and other plugins. Many are inspired by music, with the intent of them potentially functioning as stage graphics or lyric videos.

Collaborated with National Geographic Photographer Joel Sartore to create over twelve different motion graphic video pieces. These clips were projected onto the side of St Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City, as part of a public art projection to inspire change in light of the current climate and extinction crises. The show was put on by the Oceanic Preservation Society, and Obscura Digital, December 8th, 2015. Click the button below for footage of the entire event. Clips of a few individual projections can be found below.
These animations, and additional ones have since been used in Nat Geo Live presentations around the world, as well as in National Geographic and OOOA's #SaveTogether campaign in Times Square on Endangered Species Day.

As part of my senior capstone project – I created, directed and branded the 2017 student exhibition, Impact – Utah State University’s first annual Earth Week art celebration. Featuring student works from Caine College of the Arts, and other USU colleges with a focus on climate action, sustainability and conservation. The wide range of mediums–expanding beyond visual mediums into musical performances as well, were juried by CCA professors with dual experience in art and sustainability. Impact has since taken place every spring–coordinated by the current Americorps Sustainability Fellow for Caine College of the Arts.
Kinetic typography video for Sweet n Sour by Waterbed, an alternative pop duo heavily influenced by psychedelic rock and 90s pop. The video mirrors this influence through its color scheme and use of glitches reminiscent of early television sets.
A poster was created first to establish the color scheme, type system and to build the objects that would later be animated. To complement the song’s 90’s synth, and psychedelic undertones, I chose to collage photographs and footage that visualized the opposites referenced in the lyrics. These objects are defamiliarized by their placement withinin this “sweet n sour” candyland and through a color treatment reminiscent of a Victor Moscoso screenprint.
This poster brochure visualizes the impacts of conflict palm oil production locally and on a global scale, while also calling attention to the ingredient’s ubiquity in fast food, snack items, and everyday toiletries. The poster provides shoppers with methods they can use to distinguish between brands that have committed to utilizing sustainably-sourced palm oil, and those that haven’t.
